Four EyesWatch up to four videos or photo slideshows side by side in VR, each with its own controls.

Drag to look around. Click the control bars to test them.

No game controller detected yet. Press any button on your Xbox controller to connect it.

Media library

Add the folders your videos are in. Then in VR, press the View button on the controller (or FILES on a screen's control bar) to browse them and pick a video without taking the headset off. The browser remembers these folders; after restarting it you may need to click Reconnect once.

Xbox controller

One screen is selected at a time, shown by a colored frame around it in VR and an outline on its card here. The controller acts on the selected screen. A small ring in the middle of your view is the head cursor: look at a screen to select it, look at a button and press A to click it.

A
Click whatever the head cursor is on (a button, a video in the media browser, or a screen to play or pause it). When the cursor is on nothing, plays or pauses the selected screen.

In the media browser: A opens the folder or plays the video under the head cursor, B goes back up a folder (or closes the browser), LB / RB or the D-pad turn pages. Each screen remembers where it was in the browser. ⚙ Settings (top left of the browser) has the layout, curved screens, focus zoom, fit all in view, and the other options on this page, so you can change them without taking the headset off. Use "Load to screen" on the left to pick which screen the video goes to, and "Format" for 3D videos (SBS = side by side, OU = over/under, ½ = half-width).

Picking a video makes the rest of its folder that screen's playlist. "When a video ends" (in the browser, or on the screen's card) chooses whether it stops, plays the next video in the folder, or plays the folder in random order. PLAY ALL and SHUFFLE at the top of the browser start the whole folder, and NEXT on a screen's control bar skips ahead.

Each screen's control bar has two rows: FILES, PREV −10 ▶ +10 NEXT, MUTE V− V+ SOLO, S− S+ LOOP SWAP on top, and the seek bar, time and file name underneath.

Focus zoom (a setting): the screen you look at slides toward you so it's bigger and sharper, and stays that way while you use its control bar. Fit all in view resizes every screen together so they fit within 90° across, with nothing more than 20° above your eyes (looking up is the tiring direction). Curved screens (on by default) wrap each screen around you so its edges don't stretch.

Cropping empty borders: turn on "CROP button on screen bars" and press CROP while the video plays. It looks for plain borders that stay still while the picture moves, of any colour. Press it again to undo. Right stick left / right, or the sliders on a screen's card, crop by hand. "Auto-crop every video" does this whenever something new loads. In the 3 wide and 4 wide layouts a cropped picture grows to fill the height.

To rearrange screens, press SWAP on one screen's control bar (its frame blinks), then look at another screen and press A, or press that screen's SWAP button, which now reads HERE. The two trade places and keep playing. Press SWAP again to cancel; it also cancels itself after 15 seconds. On the PC, use "Swap places with…" on a screen's card.

Photos: folders list your photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, and JPS 3D photos) alongside videos. Pick one and that screen plays a slideshow of the folder's photos. Play/pause starts and stops it; "Each photo shows for" on the page, or T− / T+ on the screen's control bar (D-pad up/down on the controller), sets how long each photo stays. −10 / +10 and LB / RB go to the previous or next photo, and the seek bar jumps through the folder. The screen keeps its 3D format (SBS, OU, L⇄R) from photo to photo. JPS files switch to SBS with the eyes swapped automatically, since that's how they're stored. When a slideshow reaches the last photo it stops, unless LOOP is on; SHUFFLE plays the photos in random order.

If the picture freezes while the sound keeps going: Chrome pauses video pictures when it thinks the page is hidden. Don't minimize the Chrome window or cover it completely with another window while you're in VR.

Before putting the headset on, click once on this page so the browser window has focus, otherwise the browser may not receive controller input. The Xbox button still opens the Oculus menu.

Using it with a Rift

Open this page in Chrome or Edge on the PC the Rift is plugged into, with the Oculus app running. Load your normal videos (MP4, WebM and so on) here first (file pickers can't open inside the headset), then press Enter VR.

If you use Touch controllers instead, point one and pull the trigger. Trigger on a screen plays or pauses it. The bar under each screen has skip back and forward, a seek bar, mute, volume, solo (mutes the others), size, and loop. While pointing at a screen, the thumbstick left and right skips 10 seconds and up and down changes volume.
